about

The lyrics in ‘Rolling’ are inspired by Tim Winton’s iconic coming of age novel, ‘Breath’. It’s a story about growing up and navigating through the changes that come with new and old relationships. Recorded at the highly esteemed Grove Studios and mastered by the internationally renowned Robin Schmidt, 'Rolling' is a surf rock tune with a gritty twist.

lyrics

Outback land, you’ve been here a while,
Uncut hair, you said you’ve got a radio
Down by the water, felt like it was warmer,
But you know I couldn’t really tell

We’ll keep rolling, only on the weekends
You can keep your secrets, I don’t need to know them
Castaway, I won’t hear from you today

Call my name,
Tell me twice,
You were kind,
You were nice

Cast your mind back, to that place,
I can still see that look, on your face
Cast your mind back, to that time,
I just took the last breath, of my life
I think I might die

Out on the sand, dancing on the water,
It’s pointless but you know it feels good
Take my hand, shout if you’re lost
There’s no room for a shred of doubt

We’ll keep rolling, only on the weekends
You can keep your secrets, I don’t need to know them
Castaway, I won’t hear from you today

Call my name,
Tell me twice,
You were kind,
You were nice

Cast your mind back, to that place,
I can still see that look, on your face
Cast your mind back, to that time,
I just took the last breath, of my life
I think I might die

And you kept me waiting
Take me too take me when you go
And you kept me waiting I want more never let me go
And look at me fading faster now, faster there I go
Now that I’m breaking, its time, I want you to know
Hold me back, to hold me down,
Give me more, or I will drown
Give me more, you said you would
Drifting out to sea just to love you good

I think I might die
